Yong Xin Guo
Dr Yong Xin Guo joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), as an Assistant Professor in February 2009 and was promoted to an Associate Professor with tenure in Jan 2013. He receivedthe B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China, and the Ph.D. degree from City University of Hong Kong, all in electronic engineering, in 1992, 1995 and 2001, respectively. From September 2001 to January 2009, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore, as a Research Scientist. He has authored or co-authored 148 international journal papers and 163 international conference papers. Thus far, his publications have been cited by others more than 1595 times and the H-index is 24 (source: Scopus). He holds one Chinese Patent, one U.S. patent and one filed PCT patent. His current research interests include microstrip antennas for wireless communications, implantable/wearable antennas, silicon-based on-chip antennas, low-temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC)-based system-on-package technology and antennas in package, MMIC modeling and design, RF energy harvesting and wireless power for biomedical applications and smart grids, satellite SAR and Radar applications.
Dr Guo is the General Chair for 2015 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Advanced Materials and Processes for RF and THz Applications (IMWS-AMP 2015), July 01-03, Suzhou, China. He was the General Chair for IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series 2013 (IMWS2013) on “RF and Wireless Technologies for biomedical and Healthcare Applications" in Singapore and served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) co-chair for IEEE International Symposium on Radio Frequency Integration Technology (RFIT2009). He has been a TPC member and session chair for numerous conferences and workshops. He is serving as Associate Editors for the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL) and IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation. He has also been in the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, and International Journal of Microwave Science and Technology. He was a recipient of the Young Investigator Award 2009, National University of Singapore. He received 2013 Raj Mittra Travel Grant Senior Researcher Award. He received the Best Poster Award in 2014 International Conference onWearable & Implantable Body Sensor Networks (BSN 2014), Zurich, Switzerland.
